Weekend Trip to Nashville
February 26, 2018
This past weekend I got to go to Nashville with my friends to celebrate my friend Allison's 21st birthday! It was a jam packed weekend of fun {and food} and I wanted to share with you my favorite 10 things we had on our itinerary. Check out the end of this post for some photos of our little weekend trip!
1. Brunch at City Fire
Brunch is definitely my favorite meal of the day, so I'm constantly on the hunt for a good brunch place with unique food. I definitely found that at City Fire. I got the sweet and savory burger, (now my favorite burger), which is a brioche bun toasted with cinnamon sugar butter, an angus beef patty, shaved ham, cheddar cheese and an egg. It was absolutely beautiful and paired perfectly with my side of cheese grits. Another plus point? $15 bottomless mimosas!
2. Bar Hopping on Broadway
Of course it was pouring the night we went out, but we still made the best of it! What's so fun about Nashville bars is there is live music everywhere, and they're good too. One of my favorites was Honky Tonk Central. They had multiple live bands on each floor and it was incredibly fun!
Until this trip, I had absolutely no idea this replica of the Parthenon existed in Nashville. It was so beautiful and exciting because I'll actually be visiting the real Parthenon this summer! Side note: there were tons of puppies playing in the park.
4. Brunch at Tin Cup Coffee
This brunch absolutely rocked my world. There was so much avocado I couldn't have been happier. Everything on the menu looked good so we {may have} ordered two things a piece. My favorite was the special which was a California burger, bacon, egg, avocado and cheese. I also loved the Triple Cheese Melt which had smoked cheddar, swiss, feta, tomato and basil pesto on Texas toast.
5. Cookie Dough at NoBaked
I've tried to go to the cookie dough place in NYC, DO, however the line always deterred me. NoBaked was quaint and absolutely adorable. It was also so Instagramable! There's at least three photoshoot spots inside and more outside to get the perfect Instagram! (See my pics below!)
6. Margaritas at Rosepepper Cantina
Rosepepper Cantina is known for some of the best Margaritas in Nashville so we had to give it a try! We got the frozen raspberry margarita pitcher and it was delicious! We also absolutely loved the chips and salsa, a must for every good Mexican restaurant.
7. Craft Beers at Hops and Crafts
I'm not a big beer person, but I do like to sip on a cider! My favorite thing about this place was that they had outdoor seating which was so fun. It's also in an amazing area with a great vibe and good shopping!
8. Live Music at Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville
We got dinner here the first night we got to Nashville and it was such a good time! They had a live band that played all the classics; Sweet Caroline, 5 O'Clock Somewhere and more. People were getting up from their tables and dancing with the band. It was the perfect laid back night.
9. Shopping at The Idea Hatchery
We hit these little shops called "The Idea Hatchery" on our way out of town Sunday. We were just driving and had to take a look! The Idea Hatchery is a little ally-way containing 8 small buildings with 8 start-up businesses. It was really cool to just walk around and see all of the hand-made goods, art, books and clothes.
10. Enjoying the City!
One of my favorite parts was getting to stay right in Downtown Nashville. This means that we got to walk everywhere! About 5 of the places above we found just by walking around and exploring. If you're ever in Nashville, definitely plan out some time to just walk around and enjoy the city!
